From The WebMistress of Resident Bush
After viewing yet another disappointing half-hour of twisted facts and distorted reporting, I went to www.abcnews.com and sent the following. Please feel free to go to their site and add your voices, should you be disappointed fans. MAYbe we can turn them around if a whole BUNCH of complaints are sent...
Dear Mr. Koppel --
After emailing a farewell, last week [due to your most recent and quite radical transformation from journalist to mouthpiece], I decided our twenty years together deserved one more look. And I couldn't listen to the resident's first speech without wondering if maybe THAT bit of idiocy might not snap you out of the stupor...
What a PLEASANT surprise to see you "in form" once or twice! Hope sprang. Until tonight, when treated to your willingness to devote yet aNOTHer half-hour to promoting Old, Tired Crap about Clinton and the Rich pardon.
WHEN WILL I SEE A FEW WEEKS ON POPPY BUSH'S PARDONS [THE ONE'S THAT SAVED HIS CRIMINAL ASS]???
WHEN WILL I SEE AN ENTIRE SHOW DEVOTED TO REAGAN'S PARDON OF THE GUY WHO JUST CUT UP HIS WIFE AND BURNED HER IN A BARREL IN THE BACKYARD OF THE HOME THEY SHARED WITH THEIR TWO CHILDREN???
Email me. Because I SWEAR I will not again make the mistake of assuming nightline may still provide "news". But I PROMISE I will pull my television out of the closet, once more, when notified by email of the air-dates for the above stories.
Has EVERYone in mainstream media been taken over by pod people???
I will sincerely miss you, Ted, old boy. You were "family" for a VERY long time. And there is nothing "sweet" about my sorrow at our parting. If I'm not notified of the above air-dates within the next week, I will donate my television to a hospice -- after affixing a small plaque explaining your role in its presence:
In Memory of Ted Koppel's Spirit and Integrity Appeared Iran - Died Dubya
