THE WHOLE SORDID STORY
Well, the Republicans have now signaled, after they have savaged Bill Clinton's reputation -- with the gleeful and malicious help of the sick twists in the national media -- that they will most likely drop their "PardonGate" investigation.
My, isn't that convenient?
I don't suppose that has anything to do with the fact that their hero, Ronald Reagan, pardoned Mr. Walker? Gee, last time I looked, Marc Rich hadn't killed anyone... But maybe I missed something.
And I am sure that it has nothing at all to do with the fact that Dick Cheney's Halliburton was doing business with enemy states just a few years ago?
Or that Poppy Bush pardoned everybody but Manson on the Christmas Eve before he left office (after getting his sorry butt kicked by our guy, Bill, I might add), to keep from going to jail himself -- the criminal.
Or that Dick Cheney's current Chief of Staff, Lewis Libby, not only worked for eight years trying to secure the Rich Pardon, but took time out of his busy schedule to call and congratulate Mr. Rich on Clinton's mercy after the pardon was granted.
And I am convinced it has nothing to do with the fact that the ugly monsters calling the shots in the GOP realize that allowing Clinton to testify before Congress will not only make the PardonGate Piranha look like fools and jerks, but make the Resident look like the pitiful buffoon-puppet that he is.
No, I am sure it has nothing at all to do with any of those things.
I think the reason the investigations are not going forward is that they WERE NEVER GOING TO.
Yep, that's right. All this sound and fury signified nothing but Karl Rove's evil genius as a propaganda master that would have made Goebbels blush. Rove -- that rogue of the right, that hunk of skunk, that weaver of lies -- has once again used the willing media to spread his campaign of filth and falsehood.
The same "journalists" that harped on the "reality" of the relationship between Bill and Hillary Clinton, who now seem happy to let slide the fact that Laura Bush stays in Crawford and her husband thousands of miles away. The same media that hammered away at the Lincoln bedroom overnights, and has nothing to say now about the Greenville Submarine Contributor Pleasure Cruise and Catastrophe, or its butcher's bill.
The same media that hated Hillary for having any political goals as the un-elected wife of a powerful man, which now stays utterly mute on the subject of Lynne Cheney collecting fat paychecks for lobbying on behalf of special interests with matters before the federal government, at the same time she is admittedly exerting enormous influence with her husband, DICK.
THE MEDIA DISGUST ME.
