Subject: Mitch McConnell's comments
To the Honorable Senator:
While not a republican, I am from Kentucky, and not a big fan of Mr. McConnell's. (I would have gladly supported you should you have run and won the Presidency - I do not support the current resident of MY WHITE HOUSE). This was his statement as published in an on line newspaper. The quotes in the article by the way, are why I am a democrat and not a republican.

Without a nemesis in the White House, conservatives hunkered down to hunt and kill the enemy within. The new scumbag? John McCain. Kentucky Senator Mitch McConnell proudly announced to thunderous applause why he had filibustered campaign finance reform in the Senate: "No one's ever won on that issue. McCain-Feingold ranks right up there with Americans' concern for static cling." At a luncheon, The National Review distributed copies of the magazine with the cover story entitled, "The Spoiler: John McCain's Angry Crusade." I feel sorry for you Mr. McCain, although you have tried - you will fail because of people like him. My best to you Mr. McCain and I hope that you can beat the pants off McConnell one day - he deserves it.

Subject: Presidents' Day Sale Bulk Mail Postcard
Dear Guitar Center:
Your recent bulk mail advertisement regarding your President's Day Sale on February 19th is offensive.
The graphic on the postcard is a "To Do" list from the Oval Office of the President, listing the following reminders:
1. Replace W. on typewriters. 2. Steamclean Oval Office again. 3. Go to GUITAR CENTER's Presidents' Day Sale!
This is unacceptable. To continue to attack President Clinton after his term of office has expired, and on a personal sexual matter no less, is OUT OF LINE, and beneath the bounds of acceptable corporate bahavior for any responsible retail company. The ethics of your advertising division are deplorable (and their efforts are not even slightly witty or creative, I might add).
I would also like to say that, should you check my personal information provided herein, you will find that I have been a good and regular customer for four years, my most recent purchase being a Yamaha RBX 260 Electric Bass over the Christmas holidays.
Was this item still returnable, I would put it in my car, and drive it right over to your store in Fountain Valley, California for a full refund. Since it is too late for that, the only thing I CAN do is to tell you that I will never spend another dollar in one of your stores. You have shown yourselves to be unworthy of my continued patronage. If you insist on jumping on the pig-pile of rightwing propagandists, then you deserve to be treated no differently than them.
Sincerely, The Diva, Former Customer
