[I understand you've changed races. Be careful with that one. You are now subject to a whole new host of drug and traffic laws that didn't used to apply. ;-)

Brew is correct. The next thing you know Governor Christine Todd Whitman will be frisking you as she mugs and grins tastelessly into a camera...oh wait, Fraudulent bush assigned her to the EPA.
Never mind. It's the environment that has cause to worry now.
Myra
(Keep up the great work, Tammy. A sane voice is so welcome nowadays.)
[DIVA NOTE: WHOA, MYRA… IF THAT WHITMAN CHICK TRIES TO LAY HER FILTHY HANDS ON THIS DIVA, SHE'D BETTER BRING A STUNT DOUBLE WITH GOOD MEDICAL INSURANCE, NOT AN HMO.]

I myself have historically been white, but for the first time in my life I am finally getting a teensy taste of the alternative universes black Americans have been occupying.
To put it another way, I was naive as hell.
Now all non-Repugs have gotten the epic screwing of a lifetime, the kind of screwing that serves as a real eye-opener on the subject of power vs. lack of power. Even President Gore, rich privileged white man though he was... I mean is… got such a screwing.
No power, no voice.
Ok, now I have some small idea what it's like to be black.
Not to sound all Pollyanna or anything, but I think this is largely going to unite the spectrum of non-Repugs. We have to come together for fights that have traditionally fallen under the umbrella of "civil rights" issues. So I'm somewhat hopeful. Now there are two clear agendas to align with: Repug people mugging/pillaging and plundering, or civil rights.
Either/or. Maybe some good will yet come of this.
See you soon via your website.
Oh, and lest I forget--Happy Kwanzaa!
Myra

Dear Tammy,
As you know, I too am black. I was already black on the day we met at the [L.A. Trust the People] rally. (Although I was not aware then, when I was called a race traitor, that I was in fact black.) [DIVA NOTE: LORI IS TALKING ABOUT A PARTICULARLY AGGRESSIVE SKINHEAD, WHO OBVIOUSLY COULD TELL WE WERE BLACK, DESPITE OUR OUTWARD APPEARANCES…]
Since that life changing experience, I have joined the NAACP, ACLU, Rainbow Coalition and have become a rapid responder for The Jewish Council. [DIVA NOTE: COULDN'T FIND THIS LAST ONE ON MY OWN. TOO MANY ONLINE. THANKS FOR HELPING ME OUT, LORI.]
In addition, I have made contributions to The Southern Poverty Law Center. I mirror your feelings about what happened on Saturday. I wrote many letters to senators on Saturday. I called them cowards who do not believe in either democracy or freedom. As always, I am with you, and our people. May God bless us all. -Lori
P.S. I am more than willing to accept any mission you might give. Bring it on !
